I lived in Grand Rapids Michigan at the time, it
was winter and of course there was a snowstorm the
afternoon of the concert. When we arrived at the
auditorium, we were told there would be a delay due the
storm. Of course we were disapointed and many thought we
would have to leave and not see Harry. About 30 minutes
later we were told that Harry's plane had made it in but
the band was on another plane that possibly would not
make it. A few minutes later, Harry appeared on stage
with his gitar and a stool and played and told stories
for over 2 hours. Then the band arrived and he did the
full show. After the show, Harry came out front and told
more stories, talked with us and signed autographs. What
a night, I will never forget it. He was a great
entertainer and a wonderful man. |
